Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Going to the Nature Reserve for tea on a Sunday afternoon seems to be becoming a bit of a tradition. Thankfully it stays open until 7pm during summer so we'll be able to enjoy many more lazy afternoons and evenings there. As you can see from the photos below, the boys really enjoy going. Joel loves seeing Spikey (the porcupine) and Eli seems to know that there will be plenty of food available!

The nature reserve is always a welcome break after another busy and stressful week in which we've done endless trips to the clinic and hospital, sorted out some training for our planned 'Home Based Care Team' and been incredibly frustrated by leaders who are supposed to support the work but continually undermine our efforts and role within Chris Nissen.

This week has started off pretty much the same as last week, with Dean doing a clinic run early this morning, deep joy. We're not sure how this happened, but Joel is a real 'earlybird' whilst Mum & Dad are most definitely not. We think maybe the DNA needs rewiring, alternatively bring on the teenage years.

Waiting patiently for food

Joel rushing back from seeing Spikey, eager to tell Daddy about the dead 'turtle' he saw on his way!

Hooray, food at last!

The aliens have most definitely landed!
