Palace lost to an average Colchester side in a game where they should have at least bagged a draw given that we dominated the first half and most of the second, with Colchester's first goal coming completely against the run of play! Palace were dominant in terms of possession in the first half, and but for more incisive finishing they would have gone in at the break in with a 2 goal lead. After the interval, it was more of the same from Peter Taylor's men. Colchester threatened on occasion but it wasn't anything the back four could not deal with. But then their first goal came and Palace capitulated. Colchester added a swift second and the game was over. Morrison's strike was little more than a consolation as Richard Garcia won a dubious spot kick that allowed the visitors to put a more flattering angle on the score-line. The mini revival is over for Peter Taylor. On this evidence he still has much to do if he is going to take Palace above the levels of mediocrity that abound in this league. Like all teams in the Championship, Palace can beat anyone on their day, but we're also more likely lose to anyone. (text knicked from Eagle Eye Live edited by moi)
