Of the thirty four wedding anniversaries we've celebrated, this is probably the most unusual.
We're still trying to process all that has happened in the last 24 hours and what it all means for our plans. Sadly we've had to cancel most of what we had planned, and our longed for family getaway has been canned for now. This is truly heartbreaking.
We are truly thankful for dear friends and family who have rallied to help us make a plan regarding accommodation so that we're not homeless on Saturday. That takes a lot of stress away from an already tough situation.
We're also thankful that although we won't be able to travel north to see Joel, he will be coming down to see us for a week in a couple of weeks time. We can't wait to see him again!
We're thankful too for Eli and his girlfriend, she's been an absolute treasure, especially as she spent the day with Paula in the hospital yesterday as Dean & Eli sloped off to watch the Palace game at Selhurst Park.
Please continue to pray with and for us. There is so much to sort out, but the priority is getting Paula under the surgeon's knife so she can properly begin to recover and heal.
