It was such a blessing to open The Gathering's Soup Kitchen again last night to serve our regulars and it was great to blessed with such a spectacular sunset just before we began serving.

What's really blessing me at the moment is our growing relationship with the local Neighbourhood Watch.

They have been assisting us over the last few weeks helping to ensure people are social distancing, but they have also been getting on and distributing food parcels around the community.

So last night it was great to be able to bless them with a box of 150 sachet meals and some soup which they then took to a group of families who are living a little way outside the community.

With the sachets they had left over this morning they were able to give one each to the children and parents who attended the regular school feeding programme which runs three times a week in the community.

It's heartwarming to see and be a part of the community standing together to make sure we all get through to the other side unscathed.
