Firewood

Once again I'm ridiculously excited to get our winter wood pile sorted.  The fact that they deliver & stack the wood is an added bonus.

Here we have 1000 pieces of bluegum, which should see us through winter quite nicely as they disappear in to the wood-burning stove, our only source of heating in the house.

In the middle of February it seems inconceivable that we might actually need a fire to keep warm, especially when the current outside temp is in the high 20s, but winter will be arriving soon, and once it's here, we'll be mighty grateful for a dry wood store.

There's also something very comforting about having a blazing fire in the wood-burner...

Here's our completed wood store, replete with the remainder of last year's wood stacked in front.
