We've been feeling a bit battered of late, what with my surgery, Joel preparing to leave and then going off to Blighty, and continuing to support Eli as much as possible as he continues to spread his wings and fly.

Whilst we love what we do, and wouldn't change it for the world, the responsibilities we carry on behalf of The Gathering can become tiring, so sometimes it's just good essential to escape together. 

So with the encouragement & blessing of our spiritual Mom, we've taken a few days out to enjoy one of our all time favourite places and to savour a few special meals in our all time favourite restaurant. The amazing fresh tuna steak was sublime!

We've been blessed by some great walks together along the seafront, we've watched whales in the bay and seals in the harbour, we've mooched around the best second hand book store in the Western Cape (and may have accidentally come away with several books) and generally we're treasuring time away together. 

Tonight's Super Moon over Kalk Bay harbour also added to the special vibes as it showcased the town in spectacular fashion.

We'll be home in time for The Gathering's Soup Kitchen on Thursday, so there's no rush...
