Despite Paula's best attempt to scupper our UK trip by throwing herself down a hill, I did at least manage to keep one engagement.

On Sunday I had the joy & privilege of preaching at St Andrew's in Oxshott, one of our partner churches.

The whole service was given over to being a Mission Sunday, with five of their partners speaking in person during the service and two speaking live over video from Pakistan & Nepal. It was brilliantly done!

I was interviewed at the beginning of the service, just to give an overview of what The Gathering is up to, and then preached part of their series on the Nicene Creed, specifically the second part:
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.

After the service I presented a shortened version of our Facing The Mountain Roadshow which was followed by a delicious jacket potato lunch in the church hall.

As an extra bonus, I also got to go home afterwards with dear friends Ron & Jackie for a cup of tea and a catch up.  The whole day was a tremendous blessing, and I'm deeply thankful to God for allowing this event to go ahead in the aftermath of Paula's accident.

If you really want to watch/listen to the service, it is available on YouTube
