Tax Exempt

Today is a day of good news!

Our long and weary struggle to gain tax exemption status for The Gathering is over, and we are now fully tax exempt, and Section 18A approved, which means local tax payers can offset their tax obligations against any donation they make to The Gathering.

Thank you Lord!

It has taken the best part of two years to get to this point, and began with de-registering The Gathering Community Church as a Non Profit Organisation (NPO), and setting up The Gathering International as a Civil Society Organisation NPO, as faith based organisations cannot be tax exempt here, even if most behave as though they are!  AS of today, The Gathering International is a registered Public Benefit Organisation, which is also a massive answer to prayer.

The Gathering International is the outreach branch of The Gathering, so all of our outreach projects operate under its covering, and as such are tax exempt, but also, local donations can be offset against the donator's tax obligations. This is as close to charitable status as one can get back in the UK.

We are so thankful to God for this momentous event!
