Happy Mother's Day to all our Gathering moms and spiritual moms.

It was good to honour all the mothers amongst us as well as those who are spiritual moms and will be moms one day.

We love you all!

Paula said it best on FB so I'll leave her words here...

"It is always one of my greatest joys to honour our Moms, both natural and spiritual, at The Gathering. Those of you who know my story will know just what a particular privilege it is. Just before leaving home today God told me to look out my journal from Zimbabwe days. There, 21 years ago on Mother's Day, I had written about the service (the day I always dreaded) and stuck in a Scripture I had been given by a 19 year old girl, together with a prophetic word. Part of the Scripture from Isaiah 54 says, "Sing oh barren woman, you who never bore a child.... because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband." Once again, as I looked around the church and honoured our women, my heart leaped for joy at the number of spiritual children God has given me over the years; daughters I love and cherish and whom I count it such a privilege to lead and to model motherhood, sisterhood and marriage to. AND, on top of that, of course, our God of the impossible also performed not one but two miracles in my life, blessing me with sons. I am indeed blessed!"
